FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017: India Defeats Italy 2-0 In Friendly Match

On Friday, 19th May 2017, India defeated Italy with 2-0 in a very friendly match in Arizo, Italy. India’s football player Abhijit Sarkar in 31st minute along with Rahul Praveen played a spectacular game to win a victory against Italy players. However, for the Indian football team, this match is a point of tour of Europe but this victory will help Indian football team looking ahead to October  FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017.

Komal Thatal in 8th minutes playing gave his heart and soul to beat against the Italian players. He is a strong striker to scare the opponent team. During the 31st minute, Aniket came closer to goal strike but unfortunately he missed the chance which was taken down by Sarkar. The excellent player Abhijit Sarkar gave a massive goal over the Italians team which lead the turning point reach to the opponent’s goal net.

Now, it’s a tough time for Italy to challenge the Indian team.

Aniket also had a tough time trying all his strength to defeat against the goal keeper in 59th minutes. But at last he got failed to convert against the opponent team. However, India was strong enough to achieve victory and tried every step to keep the goal keeper engaged.

India’s Colts kept busying the opponent goal keeper and on the other side Rahul came very close to score in 75 minutes the moment after Aniket shot helped the unnatural prevent from Italian players.

When the half time was over, the Indians tried every now and then searching for opportunity. The waiting was over at 80th minute as after several try, Rahul from India finally throw the ball inside the box which touched the net. Now the score line reads 2-0.

Throughout the match, Italy was a beast to Indian team. But unfortunately, India was heavy upon them. The most depressing news about Italy, is they could not be qualified for World Cup FIFA U-17 on 2017 October 6 – 28 in India. In addition to it, India will be the first and foremost country to host the FIFA tournament.

The game will be played in six cities such as Kochi, Goa, Navy Mumbai, New Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata. Kochi will be first ever ready city to host the game. The end football tournament will be played on 28th October 2017 and the venue will be in Kolkata, Salt Lake Stadium.
