NASA Named a New Space bacteria: In Honour of Abdul Kalam

Scientists of NASA discovered a new space bacteria and named it SolibacillusKalami, in the honour of the Late President APJ Abdul Kalam. Till now, it’s a new life form; a bacterium found in the International Space Station (ISS) which has not been found on earth.Researchers of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) on work for an inplanetary travel and discovered this bacteria, named it as Sobibacilluskalami.

Dr.KasthuriVenkateswari, a senior Research Scientist of JPL said that: It is a spore forming bacteria. He also published his discovery in the International Journal of systematic and Evolution Microbiology.
