The Phrase that “Indians don’t deserve good things” literally became true after the Tejas Express 1st Mumbai-Goa trip. It was reported that passengers have stolen headphones, damage screens and has done lots of other vandalism. The incident happened while the newly introduced Tejas Express took its first trip from Mumbai to Goa.
The train started its journey from the ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus on Monday and came back to the same station on Tuesday. The officials stated that they had expected some vandalism but this much damage left them is shocking. The officials also mentioned that about a dozen of high-end headphones were missing, some screens were left scratched and some windshield were left cracked too.
There were complaints from the passengers too. A passenger who took the train on the second day stated that the all the facilities of the trains were quite not the same as compared to the first day. He further said that the toilets were not cleaned properly, the food tasted bad and the attendants were irresponsive when compared to the first day.
The Tejas Express has some unique features which cannot be seen in nearly all railways in India. This train has automatic doors, vacuum bio-toilets, vending machines, touch-free water taps and much more such kinds of features. The best part is that this train moves at speed of 200 Km/h which is quite higher than that of the Rajdhani Express.
The train will run for Mumbai to Goa Five days a week i.e. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. During monsoon season it will run Three days a week i.e. on Monday, Wednesday & Saturday. The ticket prices are quite high too and they are priced depending upon the arrival location and category.
An announcement regarding the return of the headphones was also made by the authorities. But till now no headphone shave been returned. A statement was released by the officials stating that these problems would be sorted out and this train will change the way India travels.
