3rd International Yoga Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead more than 50,000 people in practising yoga on the occasion of International Yoga Day in the main venue in Lucknow’s Ambedkar Sabha Stahl.

PM Modi said while leading the third International Yoga Day celebrations that, “Many countries which do not know our language, tradition, or culture, are now connected to India through Yoga. The practice, which connects body, mind and soul, has played a big role in binding the world too”.

“In addition fitness, wellness is important. Yoga is a medium of achieving wellness”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said in Yoga day celebration programme.

He also said that “Earlier, Yoga was only restricted to saints and seers in the Himalayan mountains. Now, it has become part of every person’s life”.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dines Sharma took part in the event.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweets, “Feeling extremely proud as hundreds of countries are uniting for Yoga an integral part of Indian culture”.

More than thousand people in practising yoga on the occasion of 3rd International Yoga Day in Agartala’s Umakanta Mini Stadium. The programme started at 6.30 am.

Tripura Pradesh BJP President Biplob kr. Deb, Youth Mocha President Tinku Roy and other took part of 3rd International Yoga Day in a different place at Agartala.

Modi had persuaded the United Nations to declare June 21 as the International Yoga, three years ago.
