Days, after an Indigenous leader was killed in Manughat by alleged CPI-M cadres, the Tripura unit of the BJP, took out a rally and “Pratibad Sabha” featuring thousands of Indigenous people on Wednesday.
Today, Tripura saw the glimpses of change in the state when thousands of indigenous people remained in ‘Pratibad Sabha’ and shown their faith in BJP in spite of torrential rain at rally venue outside Rabindra Satbashki Bhawan.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu address the rally who organised by BJP’s Janajati Morcha.
Addressing in Pratibad Sabha, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said, “The hilliest state in Northeast is Arunachal Pradesh. If in such a hard land, latus can bloom, it can easily bloom in Tripura too”.
Pema Khandu said in a rally, “Since 70 years of independence many Prime Ministers came but nobody is like Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is the one of India’s PM who looked at Northeast, whereas Congress and CPI-M had spoiled the work culture in my state too.”
He also said, “Three years ago Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister and what he did not do for the nation’s development. Various Projects and Yojanas improving foreign relations have been done under his leadership, but in Congress era, at Centre and CPIM in states the work culture had totally spoiled in seventh sister’s state.”
Addressing the rally, BJP state president Biplab Kr Deb said, “The 9th August is much significant as it was the day when Bapuji (Mahan Chand Karam Chand Gandhi) has begun his ‘Quit India movement’ against British government and today’s rally on behalf of BJP is ‘Quit Tripura movement’ against CPI-M”.
Addressing rally, BJP state observer Sunil Deodhar said, “Democracy, secularism and rights of people are threatened under CPI-M led government in Tripura. We will work with all the people of Tripura, and ‘CPI-M quit Tripura in 2018’ will be our slogan”. He also called for ‘CPI-M Tripura Choro’.
All the Janajati Morchas’s state leaders and BJP state leader were also present today’s Pratibad Sabha.
